Our start-up accelerator program offers dedicated pre-seed and seed impact investments for climate tech startups focused on climate solutions.
Participants receive a substantial $150,000 investment & we offer a 4-month cohort-based support program to pre-seed and seed stage startups.
Our goal is to positively impact the preservation of our oceans and marine environments through technology and entrepreneurship.
We provide a real world opportunity to test technologies and systems in order to
rapidly prove, structure, finance, and apply at meaningful scale.

// DRIFT: REVOLUTIONIZING CLEAN ENERGY WITH GREEN YACHTS
The world needs more consistent, accessible, and affordable access to clean energy.
DRIFT is creating a fleet of green yachts that can harness wind, wave, and solar energy and convert it into hydrogen. This hydrogen is then stored onboard the ship, before being transported to hubs or ports in order to discharge.
DRIFT’s vessels are powered by an innovative AI software that allows them to ‘sail goldilocks winds’, which ensures that the boats are fully optimised towards the best wind speed for operations.

// SOARCE: PERFORMANCE MATERIALS POWERED BY NATURE
Soarce has a bold vision to create materials designed at the intersection between nature and performance. They have created a patented technology to regenerate biopolymers from seaweed into a multifunctional solution for textiles. They’ve already applied their polymer solution to be converted into high performing, plastic free leathers that are flame resistant, UV shielding, and antimicrobial. Soarce’s suppliers break down seaweed at large scales, which they can then turn into their proprietary, plastic free nano emulsion. This can then be transformed into technical fibres, leather alternatives, or an ingredient for joint developments.

// JEEVAN: REVOLUTIONARY CO2 REMOVAL TECHNOLOGY
Jeevan Climate Solutions was founded by Professor Arup K. SenGupta of LeHigh University. The DeCarbonHIX technology is a transformative CO2 removal technology with a clear path to global scale. Jeevan utilizes a hybrid ion exchange platform that deploys a unique Lewis Acid Base reaction.
This enables CO2 to be captured at a 3x-5x higher capacity versus alternative Direct Air Capture processes being used today. They are able to remove CO2 at a substantially lower cost than currently deployed DAC technologies. Blue Action is the first investor outside of the University and is supporting with major corporate and government partnerships.

Ocean Ledger is the first coastal ecosystem accounting start-up that employs a multi-disciplinary tech stack combining remote sensing, in situ field data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and biophysical and economic modeling to holistically visualize & measure coastal ecosystem services. Ocean Ledger is a spin-out from a German aeronautical centre (DLR) that has carried out 8 years of satellite mapping of seagrass, from The Bahamas to the coast of Tanzania.

Acua Ocean has developed and deploys autonomous ocean surface vessels for collecting ocean data that are adaptive to various cases and environment. They use advanced sensors to provide data on hard-to-collect ocean parameters, enabling advancements for offshore wind energy farms, blue carbon monitoring, research & verification, and marine protected area and exclusive economic zone monitoring & defense.

AtmoCooling transforms coastal deserts into thriving hubs of agriculture, clean energy, and climate resilience, using patented large scale evaporative cooling, seawater, and solar energy. Scalable and versatile, this innovative solution can mitigate climate impacts on over 300 million hectares worldwide, offering a sustainable future for dryland regions.
// ARMADA TECHNOLOGIES: PASSIVE AIR LUBRICATION FOR MARITIME
Air lubrication, a sought-after maritime technology, reduces ship friction by releasing microbubbles under the hull, forming an aerated water layer. This drag reduction cuts energy needs, enhancing cost efficiency and environmental impact. Traditional systems use compressors to create this air layer, which need substantial space, extra power, and can increase vibration, noise, and sometimes drag. Their effectiveness varies, often dependent on conditions like sea state, with claimed fuel savings of 5-10% generally closer to 0-7%, often at specific speeds and drafts.
Armada Technologies has developed a patented Passive Air Lubrication System (PALS), designed to enhance maritime efficiency sustainably. Unlike traditional systems, PALS uses the ship’s forward motion to create an air-water mixture for lubrication, employing small capacity water pumps only in sub-optimal conditions.
